چکیده
Palynostratigraphy and palynofacies analyses are applied to identify transgressive-regressive sequences changes in paleoenvironment through the Middle Jurassic–Early Cretaceous succession of Ramså Basin on Andøya. The conglomerate, succeeding lacustrine-swamp deposits Hestberget Kullgrøfta members (Ramså Formation) overlying terrestrial marginal marine lower Bonteigen Member Formation), comprise Bajocian T-R sequence. Bathonian–Oxfordian strata appear be missing studied boreholes, second cycle spans Kimmeridgian Berriasian open upper Dragneset Formation (Breisanden, Taumhølet Ratjønna members). Nybrua comprises a condensed Valanginian–Early Barremian calcareous sandstone marl, followed by brownish-red siltstone. sequence (Skarstein consists transgressive dark siltstones, silty shales mudstones, mudstone shale. Marine palynomorphs recovered these stacked slope turbidite sediments Late age, but possibly youngest also includes Aptian elsewhere basin.

Palynofacies-based sequence stratigraphy of the Upper Cretaceous strata (Abderaz Formation) in east of Koppeh-Dagh Basin, Northeast of Iran
The Upper Cretaceous strata were studied in a composite stratigraphic section named here Padeha-Baghak section in east of Koppeh-Dagh basin, north east of Iran. In this study, palynostratigraphy, palynofacies and depositional environment history of Abderaz Formation were integrated with sequence stratigraphy. Determination of sea level history and sequence units of the Abderaz Formation using s...
متن کاملOrganic Geochemistry and Paleoenvironments of Deposition of the Middle Jurassic Sediments from the Tabas Basin, Central Iran
In an attempt to reconstruct the paleoenvironments of deposition for the Middle Jurassic Baghamshah formation, samples collected from six outcrop sections along the Shotori swell were subjected to detailed geochemical analyses. Bulk geochemical and biological marker data indicate a logical trend of the variation of organic input, salinity, and oxicity within Baghamshah paleoenvironments across ...
متن کاملFossil mammals and paleoenvironments in the Omo-Turkana Basin.
Although best known for its fossil hominins, the Omo-Turkana Basin of Kenya and Ethiopia is the source of one of the best records of vertebrate evolution from the Late Cenozoic of Africa. Located near the heart of the East African Rift Valley, the basin serves as an important frame of reference for the continent. The fossil record from this region plays a key role in our efforts to understand t...

A totall of 500 Early Permian samples from the Chal-i-Sheh Formation in the Zagros Basin were examined palynollogically in order to determine the stratigraphical age of the formation and to assess the palaeogeopaphicd relatianships of this basin to the Southern and Northern Hemispheres during the Early Permian. Fifty-eight taxa were recorded including 46 pollen, 10 spore and 2 acritarch spe...
